Best Teachers In Indian History: Education is the most cherished wealth that is earned by anyone which you can give to anyone and nothing goes away from you but actually grows. Teachers are generally considered to be the biggest resource of knowledge. The teacher has the most important place in every person’s life. Teachers are given a special position in the society from earlier times to the recent times. These teachers taught many great persons and took them to their desired target.
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk opines:
“A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.”
So teaching is the most noble duty and profession one can choose in his life. It helps the students to gather knowledge about different subjects and also develops mental strengths and find their weaknesses to come out of. Teachers are the main source of knowledge and inspiration to transform their students into better human beings.
Our country, India, is proud to have a long history in the field of education too. We always have great teachers who are also known to be very famous teachers in Indian history.
It would not be wrong at all to say that India always had gems in the form of great teachers. Those teachers were not associated only with teaching but had a enormous influence on society with their thoughts and positive actions as well.
1. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan:
He was an eminent philosopher, scholar, and the second President of India. Dr. Radhakrishnan's birthday is celebrated as Teacher's Day across India.
2. Verghese Kurien:
He is known as the "Father of the White Revolution in India". Kurien was an architect of Operation Flood, the world's largest agricultural development program, and the founder of Amul.
3. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam:
He was a renowned scientist and also the 11th President of India. Dr. Kalam was an inspirational teacher who actively engaged with students and youth, encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
4. Anand Kumar:
He was the founder of the Super 30 program. Anand Kumar has been instrumental in coaching economically backward students for the highly competitive Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) entrance exam.
5. Sugata Mitra:
An education technology expert, Sugata Mitra is known for his innovative "Hole in the Wall" experiment and his work on self-directed learning.
6. Pratham:
